Aren't you glad that 0baama skipped the Senate confirmation process to put a full blown SOCIALIST in charge of?

Medicare and medicaid?

Berwick on wealth redistribution http://dailyradar.com/beltwayblips/video/donald-be...

President Barack Obama used a recess appointment today to name rationing advocate Donald Berwick to become the director of the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services. The office oversees government health care programs and that worries pro-life advocates because Berwick has praised British programs that ration care.

Berwick is an outspoken admirer of the British National Health Service and its rationing arm, the National Institute for Clinical Effectiveness (NICE). During a 2008 speech to British physicians, Berwick said “I am romantic about the National Health Service. I love it,"

McConnell criticized Democrats for not holding a confirmation hearing for Berwick and said they were avoiding the tough questions about the pro-abortion health care bill and its rationing components and Berwick's views on them.

Recalling that opponents of the government-run health care bill were blasted for bringing up "death panels," Tanner writes: "But if President Obama wanted to keep a lid on that particular controversy, he just selected about the worst possible nominee."

He said, "Democrats haven't scheduled so much as a committee hearing for Donald Berwick, but the mere possibility of allowing the American people the opportunity to hear what he intends to do with their healthcare is evidently reason enough for this administration to sneak him through without public scrutiny."

Also, pro-life Sen. John Barrasso of Wyoming called the move "an insult to the American people" that makes "a mockery of [Obama's] pledge to be accountable and transparent."

To Obama Congress is just a bank that funds his agenda. He doesn't care what the American people want and any representation they have in Congress is a minor nuisance he considers meaningless.

The Fairness Doctrine has been abolished since 1987. There are no plans to reinstate it by the Dems or anyone else. No Dem has advocated it to be reinstated, there is not current legislation pending nor any planned to be written. The Repub admendment was a waste of time. The real issue is the TeleCom Reform Act of 1993 which lifted restrictions against corporations from owning multiple radio/TV/newspapers within the same geographic area. It has been several progressive talk show hosts, not any Dems in House or Senate, that have taken issue with the Reform Act since it allowed several conservative companies, Cumulus for example, to gain monopoly control of radio stations in metro areas and to refuse to broadcast anything but conservative talk. If anyone is restricting freedom of speech it is these conservative companies.

Socialism is good for the average working person.

So Obama pulled a "George Bush" by appointing someone in recess. Now he has only 44 more to go to meet Bush's record of recess appointments.

So when Bush appointees Mark McClellan and Sean Tunis, former administrator and chief medical officer of the Center for Medicare and Medicaid said we had to adopt at least some of NICE's methods - were they "full blown socialists" and healthcare rationers too?

Calling him a socialist just shows how little you know about it. Trust me on this. My Dad is a communist. I know about these things, and you are wrong to call him a socialist.

No I am once again out raged over 0bama's circumventing congress, to have his way with our country,m he knew this leftest could never be confirmed, so he waited for recess then bingo, jammed him in. This is but one more example of why we must fire 0bama via impeachment,or at the very least kicking him out in 012

Oh, yeah, thrilled to bits! Another foot of rope has been added...

Isn't it time the bamapologists realize that their man is a fraud and impostor? He said that there was no way he was ever going to ration health care. So he appoints someone who believes in rationing health care.

How's that whole 'transparency' thing working out for you? The only thing that is transparent is that the bama is a menace to the American system. And sneaky, too.

Senate is an insult to the American people.

One senator can hold up legislation that would help millions of people.
