How do I disable Y! Mssenger or messages from non-friends in Mail?
Every time I open Yahoo! Mail, I get 5 spam instant messages. Every time. Exactly the same number as though that's the limit Yahoo Mail can show so it just fills up the limit with spam.
How do I disable this? Either turning off Messenger if that's where they are coming from or limiting messages to those from friends.
Thanks Dodo but I can't manually submit 5 spam reports with in a long form every time I open my mail. I'd be filling out dozens a day!
There's no way to shut off access to my Mail?
Setting to invisible doesn't work (though it should - why can people I don't know contact me when I'm invisible?!) and certainly signing out of chat would work but that defeats the purpose.

Up at top of mail page by your name,where it says available...click on tiny arrow ..on drop down place a check mark by :invisible" or "signed out of chat"
