What is wrong with my new built computer?
I just got my brand new graphic card yesterday. It's a EVGA NVIDIA GeForce 240. I pushed it into the PCI-E 2.0 slot, then turn it on. Every componet was on for a few seconds, then everything shuts down. The machine restarts again, without me pressing the power button, the same thing happens. The third time it starts, the machine successfully start, but the graphic card doesn't start with it. No fan, no heating up. Just all the fans starting up in the machine. The chassis, the CPU, the one in the PSU. Can anyone tell me what exactly is wrong with my new built computer? The motherboard, or is it something else. I'm pretty sure the CPU isn't having a problem. Please help! The graphic card does not have a separate power supply.

Along with what Chip stated, instead of trying to boot up your computer without a graphic card installed...just go back to your old one and ensure that still works. I don't think this is a power supply issue because a 650W PSU should be plenty for your build.
@Submetro: The Geforce 240 doesn't have a power cable requirement.

Most gaming cards require a power cable. You didn't mention pluggin one into the card so I assume you didn't. make sure you have power running to the new video card.
If you pull the card out the machine works fine right? Somethings up with the card and I assume there is a hidden power plug in one of the vents on the card.

You may have just gotten a dud graphics card. It happens. Remove the graphics card and make sure your computer still boots without it. If so, then just send the graphics card back and get a new one.
If your computer still doesn't boot even after you remove the graphics card then it's possble you damaged your motherboard with static shock while you were installing the card. You'll have to get a new one.
