    It's a rodent like mice and guinea pigs used in science experiments to find out about new things. The hamster is used in children's science experiments with a hamster put through a maze to find food.

    It is picked as a mascot to represent the fun of learning.

    ...I suppose, though I may be stretching logic a bit far, that because hamsters have hamster wheels, and when you're answering questions you get your "wheels" a-turning. The hamster represents your brain.

    i assume that hamsters hold close out with scientists and the uniform represents that he's coaching for something. I dont think of Yahoo is as clever with the aid of fact the human beings answering or asking or in basic terms human beings in many circumstances.
