Can goldfish eat Beta food? (Siamese beta)?

I got a little goldfish, thinking I had some food but I didn't. All I have are two tubes of Beta fish flakes that specifically say they're for siamese fighting fish. Will the goldfish eat those flakes until I'm able to go to the store later?

No, it's specifically made for Siamese betas, not for goldfish. I think they have different nutrition requirements...

Well there is no such thing as the Siamese betta. Also it is spelled Betta. As long as you are able to go within the next 2-3 days and the goldfish is healthy then he should be okay with a few flakes of betta food. Just get goldfish food as soon as possible.

The commonly known betta is the "Betta Splendin", Siamese Fighting fish, or Betta.

Then there are all the different sub-species of wild betta.

Source(s): I breed, raise, and sometimes show bettas. I also occasionally breed my goldfish.

yes, if he likes it, it should be fine... try rotating it with a goldfish food too, so it can get nutrients out of it
