Multinational companies have to work with local staffs in many host countries.

There are very few HR managers who feel concerned about anything. HR people are the leftovers of society. They enter companies and get into meaningless activities. e.g. embark on recruitment binges when company does not need manpower. Generally twiddle their thumbs.

Ok, let us talk about some real HR people, that is some intelligent HR specimens. They should get concerned with globalization because:

    a. this has widened the field for employees, so attrition can go up. So they need to think of increasing retention. e.g. people dying to get into companies like Google, etc.

    b. HR managers from abroad can come into India, thereby setting fire under the local fellows' bottoms, who think their job is to issue circulars on bus timings and holiday lists.

    c. MNCs setting up shop in India would look for the real HR guys with real job understanding and not the dummies who organise New Years day get togethers.
