my computer keeps working offline !?

when i go on a certain website or just randomly a box appears saying connecting through whatever i just go to tools and un-tick the now ticked box "work offline" why does it keep ticking this box and making me work offline ?

sorry if this is in the wrong category by the way

i have found several people asking the same question but all the answers involve lots of files and programming and things i don't understand, can anyone please give me simple step by step instructions on how to fix this

    If you are using a wireless router to connect to your internet....go connect it directly to the router with your ethernet cable....use it like that for a while and see if your PC still goes offline. If it still does, then it's either the signal coming from your ISP(internet service provider) or it's your PC. Call your ISP and have them check your signal. They can see if it has dropped out recently, even if it's only momentarily. If it doenst come back when you're connected with the ethernet cable, then it's something with your wireless. Reset your wireless router and try rebooting your PC. Most times it's something simple like that.

    Click My Network Places Then To The Left Click View Connections Make Sure It Is Connected Or Enabled If you Have DSL! If it is connected and running open a new Internet Browser To The Left Click File At The Bottom Make sure The Work Offline Option Is Unchecked!
