New Trek: Remedy, Fuel EX, or Scratch?
I am in the market for a new mountainbike.
I am considering these models of Trek bike: Fuel EX, Remedy, and Scratch.
Now, money is no object in this case.
What I want:
A bike that is relatively easy to pedal up a hill, or across single track, and yet does not suffer on downhill segments.
See, I have an Ironhorse Sinister Comp, which is/was a downhill bike; it seems heavy, and is not fun to pedal uphill. I like downhill, but realize that I must go uphill to reach the downhill portion, so I want a bike that will do it all equally well.
THoughts? It HAS to be a Trek; though another Trek model could be suggested if you have a reason for it.

You want an All Mountain bike so you can safely narrow it down to Remedy and Scratch.
Scratch is a mini version of their Session Downhill bike and it is marketed as a freeride bike while Remedy is a do it all bike marketed as an All Mountain bike. Both are ok to pedal uphill but Remedy will be slightly better on your way up while Scratch will be stronger on your way down and can do bigger drops so it really depends where you live and what places you want to go and how crazy you want to ride your bike and figuring that out will really help you decide which one of the two is right for you.
One last important thing to remember is that Scratch has much shorter top tube than Remedy so you need to ride both of them and see which geometry you like better.

I would say Scratch or the Rumblefish II
The Fuel only has 100mm of travel so it is much more xc than you are describing of all mountain riding. The Rumblefish is a sweet bike, my buddy just got one and it flys, The 29er with 120mm of travel can handle about the same drops as my Cannondale Prophet with 140mm of travel.
The Scratch is also a nice looking bike. You are moving several steps up from a ironhorse, luck ba$Tard.

For what it's worth... The Scratch series has the tallest bottom bracket height. That is more room from the bike at the bottom bracket to the ground. This could be helpful going across really rough terrain...logs, rocks, etc.
I'm no expert on full suspension bikes. But that is the one statistic that stuck out in my mind. Wish I had that kind of $$$. Care to loan me a few bucks?

Trek has an staggering assure. in case you get carry of the motorbike new, adventure that ***** such as you stole it. I also have a Fisher (owned by ability of way of Trek) and function had the swing arm replaced 2 cases without issue. Trek Fuels are stable motorcycles. you could adventure possibility-loose utilising it in direction motorbike and all mountain situations. i could say 3'-4' drops could be possibility-loose. in case you do now no longer on the instantaneous own a Trek, learn into the guarantee insurance. Its your perfect wager.
