Help! virus or something on my computer?

Well, my computer is shared between me and my mom. Apparently she downloaded something because a website told her to. Now, when I do a google search these websites pop up when I click a link and redirect me :

The ones with a line next to them are ones that redirect me or one that I get redirected to. It happens on all sites, big ones like youtube or facebook, or small unknown ones.

I have already uninstalled all the addons that I can, the ones left wont let me uninstall them, and disabled all plugins. The computer just got reformatted so I was able to uninstall everything from the control panel that wasn't installed through my windows CD.

Your mom needs educating on computer security. You may have to reformat the whole lot again. Things that are stored on the computer i.e. back up or from the control panel may be infected too. This website may have installed a key-logger, hence Facebook etc where all your personal details are held.

Go to a clean computer, download Malwarebytes and Microsoft Security Essentials to a USB Drive.

Boot in safe mode with networking (F8 on start up) Go to internet explorer >tools>options>Connections (Tab)> LAN Settings and un-check Proxy Server.

Update and run Malwarebytes (first) and any other thing you can throw at it like TDSS killer.

Reboot, the computer should be clean enough to install Security Essentials

Update and run full scan (takes forever and ever)

Security essentials works well against this virus and aslo removes the annoying browser redirect.

If your computer (pc) has still that virus you should reboot your windows if anti-virus doesn't helped.

The best is Acronis.True.Image.Home.2010.v13.0.0.5055-IND you can reboot your windows and you can get rid of virus, but there is the bad side save all what you can. I mean if u have there some files that must remaine you should put them in to the USB or an other hard drive after that you should have clean windows like new :)!
