I've lost my p45 but need it for child tax..?

I need my p45 from my old employer for when i have to set up my child tax credits, working tax credits etc, but i can't find it. I've got my new p60 from my new employer but will need the old p45 as well, but can't find it anywhere! what should i do.. thanks

    Your old employer cannot help you I'm afraid as they are not allowed to provide a copy. You will need to contact the Inland Revenue.

  • Pretend you never received the P45 from your last employer and phone up to enquire where it is ;-)
