  • spending money for 2 week family holiday turkey?

    Hello

I'm going to Dalaman, Turkey for 2 weeks this July with my husband and our 2 children (2 and 4 year old) and was wondering how much spending money to take roughly. We're going self-catering to try and save money and will be eating most meals at the villa and probably eat out just in the evenings. We will be drinking but not much and will be doing day trips etc. Dont want to spend a fortune but dont want to worry about money while we're there either. Any advice would be great! Thank you

  • My 3 year old son has suspected ADHD and no friends, please help?

Hello it breaks my heart having to to ask help for this, but my 3 year old son just can't make friends. I know I probably sound silly saying that but honestly I dread taking him to nursery as everyday I see the same thing, him asking another child if he can play and them pushing him away saying no and it goes on like this till he gives up and plays on his own. I've started staying on past dropping off time so I can play with him which does encourage other children to play also. I don't blame the other children (they are only 2/3 years old themselves) but it does hurt to see them react this way to him. He is quite loud, and does get in there faces quite a lot; not in an aggressive sort of way more overly happy to see them and I've noticed other mums look at him as if he's a "problem child" whose mother can't control him.

The teachers suspect he does have ADHD due to his high energy levels and behavour, but he's not a bad child he rarely throws tantrums etc.

I just don't want him growing up lonely. This year he gave out 18 Christmas cards only receive 1 back while other children I've seen get at least a few a day this week. Its hard to explain to 3 year why he has none to open.. Any advise will be gratefully received.

  • Physiotherapy course brighton university?

Hello I'm hoping to study to become a physiotherapist at Brighton but I'm confused about what qualifications I will need. I suppose I'm classed as a mature student at the old age of 23. I've only got a few GCSEs but all terrible grades. do I need to redo them? I guess I just need a step by step of where to go from here. Thank you

  • Honeymoon/ family holiday destination for October 2013?

Hello everyone, I'm trying to plan a 2 week family holiday from the 20/10/2013 to the 4/11/2013. There is no way of changing the dates we are going more then a day or so. As it is our honeymoon as well as a family holiday we wanted to go some where really special I. E. Barbados, Bahamas, Maldives. Anywhere with white sand, palm trees, sun and clear water. Problem is everywhere I look is rainy season! I haven't traveled much so don't really know where is best. USA is a no no as we might have a problem with getting a visa not enough time to sort it. So does anyone know a good holiday destination for October? And has anyone ever traveled to Barbados, Bahama or Maldives in October time and have good whether? Thank you

  • What criminal convictions stop you from obtaining a holiday visa from the USA?

My family are planning a holiday to Florida in October 2013. I heard that if you have a criminal record you have to apply for a special visa. My husband has a criminal record from 10 years ago (when he was a teen and early twenties). They range from ABH, theft and possession of cannabis. Will these things stop him from getting a visa? Or is the visa mainly to stop serious criminals I.e murders, from entering the country? And what happens if we didn't declare them. Really want to take our children on holiday! Thank you

My son won't every sleep! Every since he was born he's been getting up ever 4 hours for a bottle then wakes up at 5 and thats him up for the day! he rarely goes down without a bottle. He has a nap in the morning a small nap i the afternoon and i try to put him down bout 7-8pm which worked ok for a while (he would then wake up 11ish then 2ish then wake up at 5am) but now as soon as put him in his cot he wakes up screaming! he ghets himself into such a state he's almost sick and hits his head of his cot if i leave him to cry for too long! i dnt think i can cope with this for much longer :( i know its my fault as during the night when he wakes up he tends to sleep in in bed with me so hes prob just scared to sleep on his own. he is teething atm and i give him calpole but i've never seen a baby get into such a state. what can i do to help him?? i left him to cry last night and he cried for 2 hours! please help xx

Hello everyone! I'm about 6 weeks pregnant at the moment been feeling really nauseous then week... grim! But i was just wondering if your more likely to bleed when you loose a baby.. I thought you always bled, but my sister has had two miscarriages and both times she only found out on her 12 week scan. So which is the most common way.. And i know i'm still in the risky stage of my pregnancy, but what is the most likely week to loose a baby.. i know no time im pregnancy is 100% safe i lost a little boy at 28 weeks in 2009. Also i have a 7 month old son already and i winded because i fell pregnant 6 months after having him am i more likely to loose this one as it is so close. thank you all for your answers xxx

  • Is it possible to drop a dress size in 2.5 weeks..?

I had a baby 10 weeks ago and put on 3 stone during the pregnancy. I've lost a stone so far and now weigh 11.5 (i'm 5'4). I'm going away in 2.5 weeks and really want to back to size 10.. i've bought clothes in this size to give me a bigger reason lol. I've cut out sugar, chocolate, cake etc. been doing 30min exercise dvd a day and going for a 30 min walk with the baby everyday, trying not to eat late and eating smaller portions.. is there anything else i could be doing (having a newborn, i don't have much time tho lol). Do you think it's possible to drop a dress size like this.. thank you xxx

  • 24 weeks, should i be worried?

hey everyone. From about 21 weeks I've been having strong baby movement mainly in the evening, but if i drink a cold drink and sit down for a while I usually get a kick or two. In the last few days even though I have been feeling a few kicks they haven't really been as strong or as many. I've been to the birthing centre twice today and both times the heart rate was between 135 and 165, is that normal (they said it was great)? They want me to come in tomorrow to check again but they won't do a scan.. I've got one coming up on the 24th anyway. So my questions are...

Is a heart rate of 135-165 normal at 24 weeks?

Has this ever happened to you and was it a healthy pregnancy?

I lost a baby at 27 weeks last year so this is probably why I reading into everything! Thank you xxx

  • 21 weeks pregnant and really scared?!?

Hey everyone last year I lost a baby. I was 27+ weeks with a little boy, I hadn't felt him move for a few days and went to the hospital and they told me the baby had died and i was induced and gave birth the next day. They told me he had died due to the umbilical cord being twisted up and the blood clotting.

I am now 21 weeks pregnant with another little boy and I am terrified! The pregnancy so far is going great and I feel him move everyday now but i still can't help but worry. They doctors told me it shouldn't happen again but the don't know 100% as it was my first pregnancy so they are keeping a closer eye on me..

Has anyone else lost a baby like this and gone onto having a healthy baby?

What can i do to help me calm down? i know worrying won't being helping my baby.

    Thank you xxx

  • Have i done something really stupid?

Iv been really careful this pregnancy not to do anything that i shouldn't do i.e. i gave up drinking and quit smoking as soon as i was pregnant but today i stupidly drank about half a can of relentless (an energy drink) I've found out that the drink contains 160mg of caffeine so i had roughly about 80mg. I don't drink tea or coffee but do eat a bit of coffee but cant help but worry! im currant 17 weeks pregnant do you think it could seriously harmed the baby? i will not be doing that again...

  • Is it safe to stop worrying as much now?

hey im 12 weeks and 5 day pregnant iv had 2 scan. One at 8 weeks and another 3 days ago.. both times the baby was completely fine (thank god) right size, string heartbeat etc. So am i really over the worse? But over the last 2 weeks iv been having spotting sometimes after sex, its only a tiny amount on the toilet paper, only about the size of a pin prick, but still there. But the night before scan i had some more spotting for no reason... so in total iv spotted about 3-4 times but had the scan and everything was ok and the midwife didn't really seem worried. What could this be? Also iv got a really nasty cold! Iv had it for about 2 weeks i cant stop coughing? does violent coughing hurt the baby? And did you get ill easier when you were pregnant? thank youbxxx
