24 weeks, should i be worried?

hey everyone. From about 21 weeks I've been having strong baby movement mainly in the evening, but if i drink a cold drink and sit down for a while I usually get a kick or two. In the last few days even though I have been feeling a few kicks they haven't really been as strong or as many. I've been to the birthing centre twice today and both times the heart rate was between 135 and 165, is that normal (they said it was great)? They want me to come in tomorrow to check again but they won't do a scan.. I've got one coming up on the 24th anyway. So my questions are...

Is a heart rate of 135-165 normal at 24 weeks?

Has this ever happened to you and was it a healthy pregnancy?

I lost a baby at 27 weeks last year so this is probably why I reading into everything! Thank you xxx

yeah thats a perfectly normal for heart rate.

and my baby has days like that to. He moves a ton for like 3 days then wont move much for other days just flutters or baby kicks. Even if i eat ice etc... which usually gets him a going. My baby and i are perfectly healthy and you have good reasons to worry 27 weeks is really far along and to lose one then would make me a nervous wreck. But im pretty sure your completely fine and normal if they heard or saw anything that was out of the norm they would have kept you. at 24 weeks the movements arent always hard or strong they dont have you count kicks until 28. So he's probably just sleeping. When you go back and they check again ask if they can do his kick counts on a machine ... i fell so i went and they put this thing around my belly that counted his kicks for an hour and they could see if that was a normal amount. Sometimes you cant feel all the times he's or she is kicking

  • Yes thats a normal height rate. Anything fro 110 -170 is normal. the lower end will be when baby is resting and the higher end when baby is active. My babys tended to be 135 when resting and up to 160 when moving (i was checked over lots). I cant imagine what you are going through, i was worried enough. You have done the right thing being checked out. get checked again. I had a very very quiet baby. Was checked out weekly from 24 weeks as i didnt feel her move much. She is 10 weeks old now and has slept through from 6 weeks (think she must be lazy lol). But just cause this is normal now always alwasy get checked out if it happens agagin, never ever feel you are wasting there time or anything. Movemnents are how we and the doctors no our babys are ok
