Have i done something really stupid?
Iv been really careful this pregnancy not to do anything that i shouldn't do i.e. i gave up drinking and quit smoking as soon as i was pregnant but today i stupidly drank about half a can of relentless (an energy drink) I've found out that the drink contains 160mg of caffeine so i had roughly about 80mg. I don't drink tea or coffee but do eat a bit of coffee but cant help but worry! im currant 17 weeks pregnant do you think it could seriously harmed the baby? i will not be doing that again...

You are fine. Docs recommend no more than 200 mg of caffeine per day but one time won't hurt you and it does not seem you have had too much more than recommended. When I was 14 weeks pregnant (before I knew I was pregnant), I drove 9 hours to my home town and drank like 5 giant cans of red bull. My baby is just fine.

You can have a little caffeine while you're pregnant. According to march of dimes you can have up to 180 mg a day,l so you should be just fine as long as you don't drink anymore caffeine today!

I heard that you can drink about 200mg a day safely. I wouldn't worry to much, but I would definitely stay away from energy drinks in the future.
