Why do people make fantasy football teams so early?

Training camp barely started, anybody could get hurt between now and week one, I just find it foolish to do your draft and everything when there's still months where anything can go wrong.

Yeah it really doesn't make much sense to me either. My fantasy league always waits until 2-3 days before the start of the season to do our fantasy draft. So far, doing that, the only thing that has really happened was the year Brady got hurt in week 1... but I quickly replaced him with Matt Cassel and it all turned out just fine.

A lot of people are already drafting teams. Personally, it's too early for me. There's too much risk of key injury during the preseason and there's still research to be done to find on how some of the injuries from last season are healing up and what will happen in a couple of camp battles. A lot of people have been burned by taking Mike Vick, Jamal Lewis, Ricky Williams, or others as relatively high draft picks in past years only to have them out for the year.

Hehe I think greedy. Early bird gets the worm. So you might have a better option on getting the players you request to ge.t Well at least in a auto draft ;)
