Car won't start up after it rains? HELP!?
I have a Volkswagen Jetta 2.0 that DOES NOT like rain!
Today I went to go start it up, and it sounds like it's trying to start, but then it starts to shake and misfire and then shut off.
I've had tune up recently and all the spark plugs and electrical wires replaced by a Volkswagen dealer a couple months ago, and everything was working fine and there were no problems with wet weather. But now, the same problems are happening again, and worse then before.
When I can finally get it to stop turning off, it shakes and misfires like crazy at idle, but when I revv up the gas pedal, it sounds fine.
Once the car has been running up for a couple of minutes and the engine warms up, I turn it off for a few minutes, turn it back, and the car is working perfectly fine like nothing happened to it.
What do you think it could be if it's not a spark problem? Main relay? The issue is so odd to me because the car starts to act fine once it's warmed up.
Thank you for your help!

You're probaby getting a bad seal somewhere. I'd check for a loose sparkplug, a hole in the vacuum line, or possibly even a small hole in the oil line letting moisture in.
Most likely after it's warmed up the engine is able to burn away the water, so the hole/bad seal is probably very small.
It's start with the vacuum line as that's the easiest/cheapest fix. Specifically checking all the hose clamps to make sure they're tight and/or replacing the vacuum hose.
