please help i posted this before, but i think i posted it in the wrong category...?
Please don't call me crazy, or stupid...this is real, and i don't know what else to do...
I have lived in my home for the past 11 years and i am aware of things that go on, even my mother being picked up in the middle of the night, her bed started moving violently, i was even scratched once...i live on many acres of land, and neighbors report odd things happening too...so whatever it is...i think it has to do with the land...
I now have a 1 month old daughter...i layed her down last night and a little bit later she woke up suddendly and she started screaming, it wasn't a cry, or a cry of pain, it was a SCREAM, me and my husband rushed to her room and she was wide awake in her crib and she didn't stop until she saw me and her daddy. so we brought her into the living room, soothed her, and layed her back down, and about an hour later she did it again! this time there was a slight difference in the room, me or my husband did not felt comfortable in the room, so i picked up my daughter and brought her back into the living room and once again soothed her...she would not sleep lastnight not at all, well atleast not in our bedroom [her crib is in me and my husbands bedroom so she is near me]so we tried soothing her in our bed, and she would always turn her head towards the corner next to the closet door and would start crying, she wouldn't stop...after she finally went to sleep and i fell asleep my husband said he heard someone outside our bedroom calling his name, and there was no one else in the house, the doors and windows were locked...
i don't know what to do,i was okay with dealing with it just myself, but now my daughter is terrified and that does not settle well with me, what should i do? i'm a strong Christian believer i have bibles and crosses, other religious items in my house!?! yet this still happens...like i said before i was okay dealing with it because i'm a strong believer in God but i don't like that my daughter is terrified...please help
this might sound silly but i don't think they like my daughter because her name is Gabrielle...which is the female version of the name Gabriel...who is an Angel...

no guarantees, but worth a shot: a type of exorcism followed by a formal blessing ceremony seems to be in order.
The hard part is identifying which type of spiritualist you will need to perform their appropriate ritual -- you'll need to research the history of your property to make that determination.
e.g. In Hawaii, you might need a native Hawaiian kahuna, an Asian Buddhist priest, or perhaps a Catholic priest to perform the ceremony, depending what type of spirit is doing the haunting.
On native American Indian land, you might need to find the right shaman from the correct tribe, or a Catholic priest or even an Asian (Chinese) Buddhist priest.
It's a lot like trying to neutralize acid solutions -- the more you know about the acid you're working with, the better chance you have of identifying the right base(s) to use to get the results you want with a minimum of deleterious side effects.

From the descriptions of the phenomena, I would first suggest that some form of psychokinetic activity is going on. This is known as 'poltergeist' phenomena in lay terms. It is generally caused by a living person. That person could be in the house or could be some distance away. The person involved may or may not be aware of what they are doing. Most often, poltergeist agents are in some way psychologically disturbed and live in toxic family settings. Perhaps this describes someone you know. This could be the source of the physical activities. The name calling could be a stress-induced misperception or the action of the poltergeist agent.
The reactions of your daughter could be traceable to many things. I would concur that she may be experiencing fantasies based on her observations of your reactions to other prior phenomena. Children are highly suggestable and very sensitive to their surroundings. So it would not be unreasonable to expect this. The best thing you can do is to console her and tell her that everything is alright. In time it is quite likely she will grow out of this. You simply must be patient.
I am reading a bit between the lines here, but I have the impression that there is more going on in this household. I don't suggest you share further personal details, but just consider this possibility as you continue to read.
One of the issues with calling paranormal groups is that there is a real risk of making things worse. Let's say for example that events are being caused by a disturbed living person in the household. Again this is just an example to make the point. Most paranormal groups are focused either on 'debunking' or more supernatural explanations. Whichever may be the case, the truth of the matter is they have no real idea what is going on. No one does. However, from research in Parapsychology (the science studying ESP and PK) it has become pretty clear that in the case of poltergeist agents, the issues are almost entirely psychological in nature. So the last thing anyone in such a sitatution should want is people involved who have no knowledge whatsoever of this psychology. More appropriate would be a clinical psychologist who is sympathtetic to these sorts of situations and willing to spend time with whoever is invovled in an effort to uncover the underlying issues which have produced these unusual phenomena.
In your particular situation such as course of action may or may not be necessary. Only you can know that for sure. If someone outside the home is responsible, that person would have to be counselled. While some procedures like banishment or exoricism might work because they alter the belief system of a local poltergeist agent, these rarely work when the agent is distant for the simple reason that the agent has no knowledge of the procedure. In those cases only time and distance seem to be effective for what should be obvious reasons.
Hopefully some knowledge will help you in your future decisions. Best of luck to you!

Oh dear, this doesn't sound good at all.....don't mean to scare you but ALL the above are classic signs of a bad entity in your house! I would personally try to get the house blessed first and find a genuine channeller/medium (although they are hard to find) to visit your home...maybe pop down to your local spiritualist church who may be able to find you somebody who's genuine so they can get some idea of who or what is there and why they're scaring your family. I'd try these first and if need be get an excorcism done as a last result. In the meantime sprinkle salt around your house as they don't like it,especially around your baby, maybe make a circle around the cot and I think burning sage is suppose to be cleansing. I sincerely wish you good luck with this,it must be terrifying for all of you.
Ashlee(below)....I'm not religious! Wiccan, Priests whatever....they can all exorcise,Priests are easier to find.

seriously please dont listen to these people... okay. i know im probably going to get alot of thumbs down for this BUT GOD ISNT GOING TO SAVE YOU AND NEITHER ARE CROSSES.
YOU DO have bad spirits in your house. you need to go to a wickan wicken? im not sure how to spell it... but go there... get some sage... and ask the people how to get rid of them... you have to spread the sage everywhere in the rooms like in the corners and stuff.... light some insents [if thats how you spell it? lol] but take the insents in each room. we had a bad ghost in our house and we had to do this... and the bad spirit was gone the next days and hes been gone ever since. [although after we got rid of him we had very violent banging on our front door and when we looked out no one was there but the door was still banging...] it was very scary... we never opened the door though. lol. but now hes gone... we also had a little chant we said in each room. a chant basically saying anything evil needs to GET OUT. try that. im sure it'll work... or have some kind of medium come over psychic whatever you wanna call it :)
EDIT: yes and that girl above me is right also. use salt!! espeically around the crib! in every room just sprinkle it around the edges of your rooms!

Kids are weird. You really can't draw any conclusions based on a baby's reaction to very possibly nothing. Things can cause a bed to move - like an Earthquake, or the person shaking it themselves. There are many things that can scratch you, including you in your sleep. It sounds like you've already got deeply held superstitions, and you're looking for things to verify them. But there's nothing there. It's all easily explained using natural occurrences. You're reaching, and reaching really far.
