Why am I still gaining weight?

I've had no appetite for the past week.. i seriously just cant eat anymore. Just the thought of food makes me feel sick. I also just started a new crazy dance schedule with a different ballet company, and I've been at the studio in class for 15 hours in the past 4 days. It just doesn't make sense and its making me really mad. Does anyone have any ideas why? I can't think it's stress because this has been the least-stressful time of the year because i don't have to deal with school on top of dance. Trust me, I know what that feels like, and this isn't it.

You've most likely gained some muscle. Muscle weighs more than fat so it may seem like a lot, but it's "good" weight so do not worry about it.

But also remember that when you don't eat your metabolism slows down, so whatever food is left in your system is being digested very slowly. Also, if you have been drinking a lot of water it could be water weight.

You've probably just gained some muscle. But since you aren't eating like you should, your body is going to store fat and it's a hard habit to break. Try to come up with a plan so that you'll eat the amount of calories you need in a day.

Probably because your metabolism slowed down from not eating very much and exercising at the same time. The little food that you DO eat goes to fat. It could also be imbalance of hormones because you're not eating, which happens to females.

If you're not eating as much, then your body will put itself in a mode where it will hold onto every pound it's got. and changing up your dance routine puts your body into a exercise routine its not used to.

It happened to me too. relax. and feed your metabolism. it's like a fire, you gotta feed it, or else it will slow down. and you'll gain every calorie you take in.

    Source(s): Happened to me too.

Take five minutes out of your day just to breath calmly and clear your head to rid yourself of some of this stress. Trust me it works.
