Can dogs eat fresh apples?

Whenever I eat an apple my dog wants some... Is it ok to give her peeled apple bits?

absolutely! My dogs love them, and they are very healthy. You don't have to peel it.

I feed my dogs raw and they do not have stinky poo or farts. Daily they get half protein (ground beef, chicken, turkey, or meaty bones) and half mash of some combination of carrot, apple, banana, green beans, oatmeal, flax, broccoli, and/or zucchini. I've fed raw for three years now and recently, on a trip, thought it would be more convenient to feed a high quality kibble...omg...I thought I was going to die with the horrible smells emanating from both the dogs. I won't make that mistake again. It doesn't take that long to fix the dogs meal while I make my own and they are so much healthier! Animal Lover breaks it down great! I found this Q&A searching if I could feed asparagus.

Though dogs are in the same family as bears, they are mainly carnivores. People food in general is bad for them, but often times fruit can do internal damage depending on what kind it is. I'm not sure if apples are harmful, but I would say better safe than sorry. I know grapes are HORRIBLE for dogs and pretty much start doing damage instantaneously once digested.

I would give small pieces just in case she doesn't properly digest it. That can happen especially in puppies and small dogs, it could get stuck. Usually dogs eat some vegetables, so a little bit of fruit won't hurt in moderation.

Dogs are actually omnivores...coyotes actually exist primarily on dropped fruit at certain times of the year in our area...not that your dog should, to be sure...but...

Yes, it is absolutely okay for your dog tohave a little apple.

Absolutely! They are healthy, and dogs usually love it. Just feed her a little bit at first, to make sure she can digest it. Oh, and make sure you get rid of the core and seeds.

i would say so but my dog had the gut of steel. she ate chocolate (we didn't feed it to her, she got it off a table) and all it did was give her diarrhea... she lived for 14 long years without a problem (:

you should probably tke out the core, especially the seeds, nd consult your vet

Get rid of the seeds and you'll have no problems!
