When did the United States become a dictatorship?

When did the executive branch start passing laws? Have these guys ever even HEARD of the Constitution?

Isn't this the kind of stuff Liberals accused Bush of doing?

A republic can't be a dictatorship. They are polar opposites

There is a big book called the Code of Federal Regulations. It was started before the constitution was written and each administration has added to it. It does not mean the US is a dictatorship, only that the laws are not detailed enough, so the executive branch must fill in the blanks to accomplish its intent.

During FDR's reign. He and the power mongers had Americans so frightened, they allowed this Socialist to be elected, how many times? 3? 4? They allowed him carte blanche to use the central bank, the federal reserve, to steal gold from the citizenry and put into action all of his communist programs. All in the name of saving the good ol' USA.

Now it has been done over and over again.

9/11, the most recent bank crash.

    It will happen again soon.

    When will Americans wake up?

Are you prepared for what is to follow?

Yes this is what the liberals accused Bush of doing.

It's also what the conservatives accused Clinton of doing.

And what liberals accused Reagan of doing.

    ...

And what the Jeffersonians accused the Federalists of.

When the government stopped letting the people of the US vote on most important stuff. We the people can make a difference, don't let the government get you down. Not all government is bad.

I heard there are people who are trying to change the Constitution.

In late 2001 when legislation was being pushed through at a horrific rate and anyone who didn't support the president's totally failed policies was labeled a traitor or unpatriotic.

Obama hasn't reversed these abuses of power like he said he would, but the executive privileges that he's invoking are held over from the previous administration.

It is not. I suggest you look at Burma for an example of a dictatorship.

Move there. See how life is, then come back and worship the democracy you live in.

When FDR became president. The good thing is we can elect our dictator, or vote him out. Well, so far we still can.
