i have a 1999 toyota corolla that used to be my mom's, naturally she goes and loses the owners manual.

anyways i've discovered that there are three sub-models of this car, the CE, LE, and VE

i was curious as to how i could find out which i have?

Easy... does it have a 4-speed transmission? You can tell by looking at the shifter. If it has 2-3-D, it is 4-speed and therefore not a VE. If it has 2-D, it is a VE.

Lastly, does it have power windows and cruise control and tachometer? If it does, it is a LE. If it does not have all of these, it is a CE. Some years of corolla's power windows were optional in the CE, but most were not packaged with it.

It should have a badge on the trunk to designate what trim level it is.
