Is it ok to lie for Jesus?

If I trick people into believing in god is that a good thing? I mean I know it is bad to lie and trick people, but if it to get them to accept Jesus wouldn't that be for the best?

    tricking people is the only way to get them to believe in god

    I don't think God just cares about the end result. He cares about what happens in between too. The journey. Eg: 2 Timothy 4:7 ” I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith." The point isn't just about finishing the race, but also fighting the good fight to get there.
