I wonder if the "once saved always saved" group thinks I'm still saved.

I was a devout born again Christian for 22 years. Baptized (submersion) and accepted Jesus as my personal savior at age 19. Taught bible school and vacation bible camp, felt the presence of the holy spirit, did some mission work in Cameroon at age 20 (I was studying Christian Theology at Olivet Nazarene at the time) testified to others and even brought new members to the church.

I left the church at 22 and have been an atheist for the last 15 years.

It always amazes me when I hear people say there is no such thing as an ex-Christian.

Once saved always saved is true. However, no-one is saved until they enter heaven. Which is why the Bible tells us "he who endures to the end, he SHALL be saved". And which is why Paul tells us that earthly life is like a foot race that we must run well if we wish to receive the prize - salvation. This analogy is based on the fact that the prize in a race is awarded at the END of the race, not in the middle of it. Paul certainly didn't think he was "already saved". Or, why would he write, "I discipline my body and make it my slave, so that, after having preached to others, I myself may not be disqualified." (1 Cor 9:27)

If you are so called "Saved"...and your receive the Mark of the Beast in Revelations during the Tribulation period...you are no longer saved...and The word of God makes that perfectly clear....

9A third angel followed them and said in a loud voice: "If anyone worships the beast and his image and receives his mark on the forehead or on the hand, 10he, too, will drink of the wine of God's fury, which has been poured full strength into the cup of his wrath. He will be tormented with burning sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and of the Lamb. 11And the smoke of their torment rises for ever and ever. There is no rest day or night for those who worship the beast and his image, or for anyone who receives the mark of his name." 12This calls for patient endurance on the part of the saints who obey God's commandments and remain faithful to Jesus.

The power of the blood of Christ is much higher than the blood of bulls. The forgiveness of sins by Christ and his acceptance of us as his Children is based on the assumption that once a son you are always a son. If the blood of Christ did not purchase salvation for us, then we are neither children nor sons of the most high. If Christs blood has to be spilled every time so that he again and again purchases our souls we make a mockery of his sacrifice. The blood of God once used for salvation is good enough to keep you saved until you meet him in heaven.

Remember salvation is by grace. It is a gift from God. It is not sustained by works, but by our God who has entrusted his holy spirit in us, as a ring for those who are his bride.

u can be saved, fall into sin and turn ur back on God. @ that point u are no longer saved., when you reject the truth, u arent following Christ, youve turned ur back and gotten out of the will of God. but u can turn ur life back to Christ, ask for forgivness and turn from sin

God made man a free will agent, He gave us the right to choose,we can choose to accept, Jesus, then later reject Him if we choose to. However I do not believe that anyone who has accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior will ever turn around and reject Him, but our right to choose is never taken away.
