CANON T2I SDHC CARD CHOICE?

I just purchased a Canon t2i for a 5 week trip. I need to know what memory card and class I need for the camera to work accurately. I see it needs at least a class 6 for video. Since I will be gone for so long I was looking for a large capacity card. I prefer sandisk, as I have used them in the past and currently have a sandisk ultra II 4 gb sdhc card for my other camera. Can someone give me some tips and or links to cost effective solutions. SDHC cards are so expensive.

No, no, no. You don't want a large capacity card. These devices love to fail without warning regardless of size. 4gb or 16gb, if it fails you're out of luck. Take several 4's with you not one large card. Trust me I know what I'm talking about.

I have the T2i also I use the Transcend 8gb Class 6. You can buy it off amazon and get free shipping, I got it there for about 23 dollars and am happy with it. You might want to get a 16gb if you use a lot of video or don't plan to purge the memory as soon. Might want to get a battery with it unless you have a prime account you can't get free shipping unless you buy 25$ on your total order.
