Can drip pans for electric ranges be chrome plated? Would they stay clean and shiny with a...?
...minimum of work?
I am forever buying drip pans for my electric range. The black enameled ones get funny in a short time no matter how careful I am with them. The mental finish ones get ugly even faster. If I have a set of them chrome plated would they stay nice with a minimum of effort on my part? I wonder if they too would discolor rapidly.

I’m not to sure about the chrome plated pans because I have the orginal drip pans that came with my stove when I bought it 2 years ago. I use oven cleaner to clean them. Just spray a heavy coat of oven cleaner on them and let them sit for 1-few hours ( depending how dirty they are). I usually do this once a month. I spray them in the morning and then scrub them with a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser before supper. The longer the cleaner sits the cleaner they get. They’ll look brand new and shiny again. It cuts the cost of having to keep buying replacements.

The enamel is easier to clean than chrome. You are confusing stainless steel with chrome. Just use oven cleaner and they will stay clean.

No I have had the chrome plated ones at a cost of 16 each and they get just as crappy.

They all get crappy in short order. I buy the cheapest ones, and I buy 2 sets. One to look nice when my MIL comes over, and one to cook with. Lining them with aluminum foil messes with the electrical system on the range, according to my manual. It can ruin the range to the point of unfix-able, so don't do it.

wow i just kept mine washed if anything spilled on them, and they stayed brand new looking.my stove was 14 yrs old, and it shined.i found it easier being a single dad to just do quick wipes instead of letting my chores build up,then trying to scour things clean.
