Any ideas for something I can use to elevate my laptop?
I would like to raise my laptop off my desk when I'm working at home. Right now I'm using a phone book, which I think is not a good idea from a fire hazard standpoint. I've been looking around the house for something more suitable and can't find anything. Do you have any ideas?
(I need to raise it two to two and a half inches.)
Thanks for your help.
Wider Scope, if I didn't take my work home, I'd never get anything done! I know you're concerned, and I appreciate it. It's nice to see you.

They sell what you want at WalMart. They have a fan built into the bottom so that while raising your laptop it actually cools it from below. The fan plugs into a USB port. They start at $10 and the more fancy ones go up to $30.
I got one for my daughter because her laptop was getting too hot after prolonged use.

Use two boxes on the edges to keep air flowing underneath, tho' I've never had a over-heating problem. & check for kids blocks. I'm sure you could find an approriate size.

Yes, I have an idea.
Don't sit at your desk. Sit on your couch. You shouldn't be bringing your work home.
