To anyone who uses "WORD":?
I keep getting squiggly saw toothed lines appearing between my text. I don't know why or how to get rid of them. Any ideas?
I don't mean the colored lines that go through the words. These are thin black lines between the lines of type that go the full width of the page.
These are not underlines. They crop up in the oddest places for no particular reason. Usually near the end of the page.
Thanks, everyone for trying to help, but I haven't found the solution yet. I put the disc back in to repair and reconfigure the program, but that didn't work either.

Do they just appear randomly? I've seen that before too. It's usually because I would try to divide two paragraphs with:
~~~~~
and then when I'd hit Enter, it would do that zig-zag line across. I just hit undo or hit backspace until it was gone. And then instead of hitting Enter after the tildes I just hit the down arrow and it worked for me. If that's not your problem...then I have no idea :-\ Try asking Word Help maybe? Good luck.
Taters, it sounds like you are viewing the document in Normal View (as opposed to Print Layout View) and you are seeing the page breaks, a series of small dots which go across the document laterally and extend beyond your margins.
Change the view to Print Layout and they will disappear, replaced with the top and bottom margins, plus headers and/or footers if you have them.
Those lines are there to tell you that you've made a spelling or grammar error. You can get rid of them by correcting your error, or by disabling the spellcheck / grammar check feature.
