Why do bats keep touching the surface of the water in my swimming pool?
Now there's my swimming pool and the place where I stay has a hell lot of fruit eating bats. Now the question is as and when it turns dark, when I'm swimming(or not) I see these bats fly in so low they touch the water and then take off again. I really didn't mind swimming but what if one bumped into me by mistake or something you know. They come so low as if they are going to you know like those birds they scoop the fish outta the water and then take off again. Something like that.

Are you sure they are fruit bats? If they are, they a drinking. Fruit bats can be clumsy but they shouldn't bump into you - they should keep their distance - and even if they do they won't hurt you. Obviously if they break your skin at any time, see your doctor when possible and get a rabies jab. But there's nothing to worry about. If they are actually microbats and they are scooping insects off the surface (as I have watched Daubenton's bats doing over here), they wil lnot hit you - their echolocating abilities are incredible and they will avoid you.

They're drinking: the bats dip their chests in the water as they fly over and then lick the water off them afterwards.
As for them bumping in to you, I couldn't say, isn't there echo location pretty good? Do they normally get very close?

they could be getting a drink of water, or maybe water flies were on the water and the bats were catching them.
