Does anyone have or have experience with PCOS?
I am 24 yrs old and I have Polycycstic Ovarian Syndrome so I have never had a regular cycle. About 14 to 16 days after the start of my period i started having really bad cramping on my right lower abdomen and also was having some brownish discharge (I told my mom about it and she said that I was ovulating). Well, before I knew exactly what it was my boyfriend and I had unprotected sex twice. I know it's strange but I don't know my body very well since I've never been able to predict it so I don't know what to do.
I don't know if I'm pregnant or not because it's only been about 9 or 10 days since we had sex during my "ovulation" and I always thought it was going to be impossible to get pregnant on my own with out IVF treatment. My question is, does anyone have or have experience with PCOS and gotten pregnant on your own? If so, when should I be able to tell if I am? My period should be starting this week sometime...
I'm pretty scared so any help would be appreciated.
Thanks so much for your answers so far. I'm not saying that I'm unprepared for children, I want them so badly...at some point, I was just hoping to be married first.
I have always been so sad because it terrified me that I have this because I was afraid of infertility so it makes me so happy to hear stories of pregnancy and having PCOS too. So please, anyone that just wants to share stories please do.

First off even though you PCOS you CAN GET PREGNANT! If you are not prepared to be a parent then stop having unprotected sex right now. I have had PCOS for about 7 years and have 2 children, both without fertility treatment. I also didn't have periods at the time maybe 1 or 2 a year. So be smart!
Usually when you ovulate the discharge isn't brownish that very well could have been implantation bleeding or just old blood from sex. I would say take a pregnancy test maybe next week or the week after. Then if you don't get your period test again 2 weeks after that or go to the dr for a blood test.
Really be smart, if your not ready to be parents then stop having unprotected sex, PCOS is not a guarantee of infertility. Millions of woman conceive naturally with it. I am living proof of one of those millions. Dr's told me it would be impossible to have children without drugs or surgery on my ovaries. I am now the proud mommy to a 2 1/2 year old and a sweet little girl due this october.

I am 24 years old and have PCOS, I have a 15 month old that had to conceive with the help of Clomid. I am currently 14 and a half weeks pregnant with number 2 and this one came all natural. I dont have regular periods never have and have only had two since my son was born. It is up to god and you can still get pregnant. Not every woman with PCOS has the same symptoms of it and every one varies on the severity of there PCOS.

Theirsa lot of women that get pregnant even though they have PCOS so that doesn't really matter. Well since you had unprotected sex while ovulating there is a pretty good chance you are if your one of those women that can conceive even while having PCOS. The brown dischrge could have been implantation bleeding so there is a good chance you could be. you should wait to take a pregnancy when your period is due especially when you miss it and if you do have it wit until its completely over and then take the test.
Good Luck. :)

I'm 15 weeks pregnant with my first baby and I'm diagnosed with PCOS. It was all natural I never used any treatment with this pregnancy. Although...With my first boyfriend we tried to concieve for about 2 years and sum and never succeeded, even though he was fertile! I am now pregnant with my current boyfriend and soon as we started trying in the first month I fell pregnant!
