Is a 60 degree wash enough to get nearly new baby clothes clean?

I've been given a big box of new and nearly new baby clothes that have been stored in a rather grotty cardboard box for the past 6 months so I wanted to give them a good wash. Is one wash at 60 degrees enough to get them nice and clean?

Update:

That's 60 degrees celsius...much more than room temperature!

It should be okay but watch out for mixed colours you don't want anything being dyed ,cotton is ok at this temperature but synthetic materials might not be so good if it's things like baby grows and vests 60 ok ,you could just give them a few washes at 40 before you use them and see how they are before use check the labelling on the stuff first that will give you a better indication at what safe temperature to use.If the clothing was wrapped in something before being placed in the grotty box it would have been better, some washing machines have a special setting on it for baby clothing it washes at a much higher temperature than a normal wash .

If your that paranoid than soak them for half and hour in hot soapy water then give them a good wash and triple rinse them afterwards.

Have a look at each item and see if there are any washing instructions. Do NOT use 60deg. 40deg. will do fine if there is no other guidance.
