Internet Connection Problems?
Alright, my internet lately, as in the last year or so, has randomely started to cut in and out. Im not too familiar with modems and routers, so all i have tried in replacing them, changing wires, where its located in the house. I have also tried calling my ISP and they dont know what the problem is. My internet is fine when it is up, but just turns off randomely. What is the problem and how can i fix it? Thanks

A few things you can try.....
Start...Control Panel....Network Connections.....Right Click on your Wireless Connection and select Properties.......Click on Configure...Power Management Tab...uncheck "Allow the computer to turn off this dvice to save power"
When someone mentioned for you to disconnect and reconnect your internet connection...What they would have ment was Disconnect the main power going to your Highspeed Modem and Wireless Router for 10 seconds...then reconnect...this resets the signal for all computers.
If you still have problems...check the manufacturer of you laptop website for an updated driver for your wireless network..these are some of the sites...
If you own a HP or Compaq visit http://www.hp.com/ and visit the support area
Toshiba http://209.167.114.38/support/
Dell http://support.dell.com/support/topics/global.aspx...
Gateway http://support.gateway.com/support/
Sharp http://www.sharpusa.com/products/FunctionLanding/0...
Intel http://www.intel.com/support/index.htm?iid=hdr+sup...
AMD http://www.amd.com/us-en/SupportDrivers/ProcessorS...
eMachines http://emachines.com/
Ibm http://www.ibm.com/support/us/en/
Acer http://www.acerpanam.com/flex/acer/bin/acer.html#a...
If you are still having problem...hardwire your network to the Router...then the modem to rule out which device is causing the problem. If its your highspeed modem, your internet provider may need to install an amplifier to your line to boost the signal.
