Pain in middle of chest??? 10 points guaranteed for good response.?

I've been having random pains in my chest for a while now, they last about 30 mins and then the pain subsides.

Doesn't seem to be brought on by anything, only small link I can think of if is when I eat something greasy every now and then, but not always??

It seems to be in the middle of my chest and slightly to the left under my breast...

Pain remains the same no matter what position I'm in, and remains at the same level of pain for the duration..

It is not a fluttering pain, but constant. I am 19, and am normal weight.

I've got an appointment with the doctor again this morning to see what they will say.

They've put me on tablets for reflux and anti inflammatory's to no success, and I have not had a scan or a magic eye.

Does anyone have a clue? This has been going on for too long now, and I'm REALLY scared of when the pain comes again, and it most probable will!!

Try an antacid next time you get the pain. If the pain goes away almost immediately, then you could have an ulceration in the esophagus or the stomach and the reflux tablets will help after awhile.

Gas! Believe it or not, the bowel loops up through the chest and back down. On both sides of the chest there is a turn which can trap gas and cause you to have chest pain.

Stress! Can cause a problem referred to as "The Devil's Grip". A tight feeling in the chest, along with pain. Similar in feeling to a heart attack. Common in people who react strongly to stressful situations.

Do you smoke? Could be ulcers in the lungs. If you smoke pot, STOP! This will cause chest pains.

I could go on for hours. Many things can cause chest pain. Rule out the simple things first. Go from there.

Next time it happens, write down what you ate for 12 hours previous. Then write down anything that happens until the pain is gone. Such as...do you pass a lot of gas after the pain? Does taking a TUMS help? Does a glass of milk help? (ulcers are coated by one of the ingredients in milk and feel better almost right away).

Take this to your doctor and he/she will have a much better chance at diagnosing your problem.

    1) What made you like anime? Dunno. I've always liked it. 2) Favorite anime of all time? Code Geass, Durarara, Clannad, and Welcome To The NHK. 3) Favorite Opening theme and ending theme. (Prefer Links) Yui- Again. I don't have a favorite ending. 4) In your opinion, what makes a person a weeaboo or an otaku? Otaku? I guess you'd have to consider yourself a nerd or be seen that way by other people. Weeaboo? I dunno what that is. 5) What are your thoughts on english dubbed anime? I prefer dubbed over subbed, but either's fine. 5) Do you get bullied for watching anime and reading manga? Bullied? Lol. Never. 6) Do you live in your parent's basement? Only on Tuesdays. 7) Is the only reason why you watch anime is becuase you are loser who has no social life and will more than likely die alone? Here's the correct wording, "Do you only watch anime because you're a loser, you have no social life, or you will most likely die alone? Or is it all of the above?" You're welcome. To answer your question. HELL YES! No, I'm kidding. I watch anime because I like it, bro. 8) Are you overweight? Have terrible acne? Wear glasses? Bad at sports? Overweight? I wish. Terrible acne? I had some acne in middle school? Bad at sports? I'm good at American football and I used to play baseball. So, no. I'm pretty good at sports. 9) You forgot number nine and put two number fives? Yes, yes you did. 10) Do you think I'm awesome? Eh. Not really. Do you think you're awesome? I hope so. 11) Did you like this quiz? It could've been better. Adding my own questions was fun though. It was a nice stereotypical quiz.^^

    Probably GALL BLADDER pain.

Anything digestion related will show up as "chest pain", just because of where all the organs are. 99% of the time it has nothing to do with the heart.
