THE QURAN VS THE BIBLE (Light of science)?
I can show hundreds of Errors in The Bible but I’ll keep this note to
scientific facts common to both The Bible and The Quran!
THE QURAN HAS NO SCIENTIFIC ERRORS!
The Light of the moon! Reflected or own
light?
The Quran says
“Blessed is He Who made Constellations in the skies, and placed therein
a Lamp and a Moon giving (reflected) light.”
Quran (25:61)
Whenever the Quran talks about Sun it uses the arabic words
"siraaj" which means torch
"wahhaaj" which means a blazing lamp
"diya" which means shining glory
But whenever the Quran talks of the Moon it uses the words
"muneer" and "noor" which mean reflected or borrowed light!
The Quran says the light of the moon is reflected light and not its own light!
The Quran is RIGHT scientifically
According to The Bible!
The Bible says in Genesis, Ch. 1, Verses No.16, that…‘God created two lights the greater light, the Sun to rule the day, and the lesser light the
Moon, to rule the night.
The actual translation, if you go to the Hebrew text, it is ‘lamps’…‘Lamps
having lights of its own.’
And that you will come to know better, if you read both the Verses –
Genesis, Ch. No.1, Verse. 16, as well as 17. Verse No.17 says…‘And
Almighty God placed them in the firmament, to give light to the earth…
To give light to the earth.’ Indicating, that Sun and the Moon has its own
light - which is in contradiction with established scientific knowledge that
we have.
So The Bible says Moon has its own light which is WRONG scientifically!
The Quran is Right and The Bible is wrong!
So did Prophet Muhammad have a high tech
laboratory where he copied and corrected errors scientifically?
Any Christian Answer this bilbe error please,

First of all, the error is not in the Bible to begin with, so your premise is flawed.
But most of all, your logical fallacy is in making the erroneous leap of inference that if the Bible is wrong, then that proves the Koran and Islam are true.
See, if the Bible is wrong, the Koran could also be wrong, and Buddhism could be true, or Hinduism.
There is no science in the Koran. Further the Koran is not the origin of the discovery that the moon reflected light. But even if the Koran did have a lot of science in it, and the science was right, that wouldn't mean the entire Koran and Islam are true. See how that works?
If you want to go back and forth about errors in the Koran vs. the Bible, then you need to understand that lots of people know there are numerous errors in the Koran. But that being said the errors in the Koran do not prove that the Bible is true.
And finally, you cite Genesis, vs the Koran. Genesis was written about 2000 years BEFORE the Koran, and it would make sense that after 2000 years people had more knowledge in a wide variety of subjects. Just like we know more than people knew 2000 years ago.
Basically your argument is just silly.

God asks JOB .."Where were you when I hung the earth like a ball in darkness,..... and again asked " where were you when i put a circle around the horizon?".
re your question...instead of thinking of 7 by 24 hour periods for the days you mention in Genesis, use the translation period instead of day. In my grandfathers day doesn't mean a 24 hour day, but a period.
The science book says, earth looked nothing like it does now, there was no land masses, volcanic activity everywhere.
The bible says. the earth was without form (nothing like it is now)...a darkness covered the earth...(volcanic activity everywhere would cause that).
as the earth cooled light could be seen but the source of light still hidden until the fourth period. This makes scientific sense.
The bible gives the order of the creation, which science generally accepts. I ask how did the author know that around 2000 BC? Man certainlwasn'tnt there.
These books were written far earlier that the Quran
The Quran has Jesus saying the day He was born...Blessed be the day that I was born and blessed be the day that I die. How could a new born baby say anything? Sisn'tnt this a scientific error my friend?
Id suggest there is something about our interpretations that are questionable, just like mine when reading this impossibility in the Quran.
Source(s): This explanation was given by a scientist to the Christian churches in the late 1800s, but they rejected it wanting to rightly or wrongly hold to 7x 24 hour days. - How do you think about the answers? You can sign in to vote the answer.

Hey.....The bible refers to the purpose with which God decided to create the moon...which was to
'give light to the earth'..It is like a lamp to the earth...correct me if I'm wrong???
.The moon also controls the tides on the earth.
The moons' purpose was to 'serve' the earth really..just to 'give' light. I don't see any error here. I think you may be getting very exacting due to the Hebrew translations into English. The bible is the word of God...Jesus was the 'word made flesh'.
I know you want to think of the Quran as being more factual due to the fact that it was written in Arabic by Muhammad (Peace be upon him) & therefore never had to be translated into other languages unlike the bible. That's the only perceived 'error' here in my opinion.
God created the earth..and saw that it was good.
The life, birth and death of Jesus as savior was prophetically recorded 4,000 years before he was born. Our Bible speaks most importantly about the life of Jesus...which really is the most important thing & is everything to me.
i love science also..and studied it at college. I care about it a lot too. Thats' all.
Peace be with you and Salam.......;) Ok?

[25.61] Blessed is He Who made the constellations in the heavens and made therein a lamp and a shining moon.
Dear friend, the above is the same verse quoted by you from Quran, in which you gave a contribution from your own side in brackets. The word "reflected" does not appear in Quran. From this very manipulative act, you lost your credibility. Since this is a regular practice by most of the Muslims, I don't blame you.
Bible does not say moon gives its own light; it simply says moon gives light. Whether light is its own or received from else somewhere, the fact is that moon gives light. And, bible is a spiritual book and not a science book.
