Could a human body have just so much power, like a battery?

Is it possible that every human body is born with a pre-programmed charge like a battery, destined to fail when the corporal power supply runs out?

Perhaps it is designed this way ahead of time, according to how much work needs done by the Soul.

Maybe it is like a fail safe mechanism, so that when the Soul has accomplished the work necessary the body will end. Even those who die in accidents could also have run to the end of their power supply, and been unable to overcome their injuries because the power had also run down.

What do you think of this theory, that the Soul gives the body just so much "charge" and no more?

The Chinese believe this , they think that a person is born with so much chi and when this runs's out your number is up. I have also read that in the bardo , the place before incarnation that a person's spirit is given a certain amount of energy to do the things they need to carry out, some people are given less energy so they learn to be patient and calmness , others have much more to achieve. Can you imagine giving too much chi energy to a young soul, they would cause havoc. As we grow and learn to cope with our great source of energy the light of the universe we are given more power and energy. There is enough energy in a dollar bill to flatten a city so can you imagine how much energy we could produce, not bad for an animal who is 99.9% space eh !

Some of the answers you have gotten from this question are really quit delightfully naive and lacking in experience. As if something Spiritual could be discerned from the level of ego and physical perceptions. It has been pointed out time and again that this cannot be done but it will always be attempted by those who are bound by the senses.

There is enough energy stored in one gram of flesh to power the city of Chicago for days. It is a concentration of energy that is almost unfathomable. The body is not merely a battery but also a generator. Why is it that a person who has come home from a tiring day at work, plops down into his easy chair with no more energy to mow the lawn, suddenly has all the energy he needs when someone come running in yelling, 'Your house is on fire!!' Where did all that energy come from in just an instant? How did that weariness disappear in a flash? Energy is not just stored in the body/battery but also we live in a sea of available cosmic energy and we tap into it by will and conscious awareness. Even when we are unaware of this, we may tap into this when our will is stimulated by a sudden desire to escape or overcome or save someone we love.

To say that there is no soul when one has yet to experience the soul is no more than saying there is no reason when one has yet to experience reason, there is no morality when one has yet to experience morality, there is no God when one has yet to experience God.

The body usually ends when sufficient number of cells die off without being replaced. Food, as mentioned above (on several occasions), is the more appropriate candidate for being the body's "battery". As for soul playing a role - for sake of argument assuming it to exist (which I believe in FWIW but can't prove, hence the assumption), the soul may be shaped by life's experiences, but wouldn't need to be considered the body's energy source. Soul is more like a video game - it does not power the computer (i.e. body), it merely runs on it if power/electricity is turned on. Regards, Pat.

Greetings Sarah from the tropic of South Florida. What a wonder analogy you have come up with that I have never given a lot of thought to, but it makes perfect sense.

The human body is an awesome thing and to compare it to the charge of a battery, reminds me of the fact that we can be struck by lightning not once, but several times over a life time and live. I have always thought that we must have incredible power to survive such a wrath of nature. Yet we do.

I am feeling like today that could be true. I don't believe in a soul or anything like that though. Just that I'm super tired and fatigued. I keep trying to sleep and recharge but it isn't working, I feel like this is more to do with growing older than a soul.

You presume that this concept of "Soul" is real.

Show me this soul you are talking about. Is it measurable?

You also are likening the body to a non-reusable battery.

There are many batteries that die and then can be recharged. Car batteries, rechargeable common batteries, xbox controller batteries, etc.

If your theory is correct than as long as we just keep recharging the soul a person could live forever.

  • We have to be charged and recharged too!So, there must be a Source to rejuvenate us when we run out of juice.

We are not Energizer Bunnies that keep going and going and going... lol!

Even the Tin man in the "Wizard of Oz". may have had an oil can but, Dorothy had to give him a few squirts here and there to keep him going.. :D

Your partly right , God breathed his breath into our body

and gave us life. We can not understand all of Gods

plan, but we do know from his words <Bible>what will

happen at the end times, just for the fact that so far ninety five

percent of what the Bible says , has already happened

exactly as it said it would happen. One of many examples

God said at end times there will be One world government

and a mark of the beast<chip> that has all your personal information

on it will be placed on your hand, obama is already talking about

one world government, and a information chip

There will be many false spiritual teachers and people will call whats wrong

is right , and whats right is wrong , and we will fall from a free country

to a free for all country and take God out of our system

These are the days we live in

All biological beings are chemical-electrical, and emit electromagnetic energy.

There is no evidence souls are real. The concept originated from people who believed in magic and curses.

no. Your soul is an empty cup waiting to be filled and refilled. If your idea were so then there would be a corporal limit to the soul.
