Are parts for a 240sx insanely expensive?

I'm seriously considering buying a 96 Nissan 240SX to replace my Regal (it's just starting to wear out) but I'm really kind of discouraged due to the incredible cost of parts. ($162 for a IAC and $700 for a MAF, compared to $3 and $140 for my Regal). Did I just happen to pricecheck expensive parts, or is the whole car like this? There's no way I can afford a car who's parts are 5 times more expensive than the same parts for my Regal.

Someone is ripping you off at those prices. In seconds I found the IAC for under $100 and the MAF for about $300. Shop around online. Still, that's a lot more then the same sensors for a regal. If the 240 has low miles and it's a good deal, I'd still buy it. They're pretty reliable (the KA24 was originally designed for trucks). If it's a high mileage car, I'd stay away. If a younger guy owned it, DEFINITELY STAY AWAY. They're a popular car with wannabe drifters who beat the crap out of their cars. Not exactly the ride you want to depend on to get you to work or school in the morning.
