Are some people just born to be joggers/runners while others are not?

Why is it that I have been working out and can swim/bike a good pace but when I attempt running/jogging I cannot? I have been working out for a long time. Then my friend who has not done any form of exercise started jogging last month and can do approximately 8 miles in 1:35 min.

    You have to build up your cardiovascular endurance. Start running for as long as you can, then take a walking break until you have can catch your breath, then start running again for as long as possible. Do this for about 30 minutes. Then next time you run try to see if you can run for at least a minute longer. You will build up your endurance.

    yeah. some people just have a runner's body and mentality while others just hate running and anything to do with it. swimming is good exercise. i wouldn't stress about it too much.

    I think that we all have the ability to run - the trouble is, it's like everything else. You use it or you lose it.

    If you want to run, you have to build up to it. Google the couch to 5k. That will get you started.
