Our Government, through Our Military constantly deploy Our soldiers to other Countries for their Security...?

The "Our" is the American People...

yet this same government refuses to protect "Our" borders with the same intensity and dedicated resources, of those assigned to protect foreign governments...WHY?

For instance South Korea/North Korea have a 151 mile border...yet there are 20,000 plus or minus soldiers serving active duty in South Korea who has an Army of over 640,000.

Our border is 2000 miles +/- : "Our" government has as of 2009, 17,399 Border Patrol agents have been deployed on the U.S.-Mexico border and now adding an additional 1200 National Guardsman.

20,000+/- for 151 miles -------- 18,000+/- for 2000 miles

Update:

Yes I am quite familiar with NAU..it seems the Progressives are steamrollling the Amemrican People to accoplish this nightmare waiting to occur...

They have Health Care, They have COntrol of the FOOD and Water...only thing left to accomplish this is The CAP and TAX Bill (control of Energy)

I think its because there is a much bigger long term plan for the three, Canada, US and Mexico.

Google North American Union and you'll see what Im talking about,

There seems to be some consencus that if the three team up - it could be an economic juggernaught to compete with the growing economies of China, India and the EU.

Nafda was just the opening door.

Physically bordering countries wont work in the end. Much of the BIGGER jobs and pay are going to outsourcing in India and Pakistan. I dont think its the 5 dollar cotton pickers you should worry about, its the design, engineering, and medical outsourcing work that is much bigger loss. The internet has sort of made that a no-looking-back situation...

very good point...about occupying other countries, pissing away money overseas and protecting people in other countries and other borders, while ignoring protecting our own borders.

I am generally a liberal in my views.

This is what I think. I believe this is because the govt of the USA no longer follows the "social contract"....it no longer acts as the servant and representative of the population at large. It is now the servant of the rich, the rich multinational corporations and the multinational banks. We the regular people are given the charade of periodic elections to make us think we have control, but alas we dont. I think that money is at the root of all this....pissing away money overseas means it cannot be spent here at home domestically....they dont want domestic spending because it establishes a precedent for more and continued domestic spending..which means taxes have to be paid the rich and big business...and they dont want to see that happen. They do not secure our border, because they really prefer to see the american workforce be closer to a bunch of slave wage laborers who have no rights and will take anything employers give them.

You will be glad to know the border patrol is stopping people up to 100 miles from the Canadian border, apparently South Park and Moore's only decent film "Canadian Bacon" have brought attention to the far greater threat to the USA. Canada. Must be Canadian sourced illegal aliens are less likely to vote democrat in november?
