What could it mean if he said i love you?

im thinking he probably meant it since he said "ILY" instead of "ILY lol" or something like that, and also that he used that to end the conversation. i think maybe he hasnt said anything back because when he said he loved you, you didnt say it back, he was probably hoping for an "i love you too!" so he might be a little sad or he might feel insecure or embarrassed for putting his feelings out there, guys can be wierd like that when it comes to talking about how they feel.

and im sure hes not mad at you, he just cought you off guard by saying that and is feeling wierd that you didnt say it back. dont worry, im sure everything will be ok :)

First off I doubt you all could really be in love after a week. And without him really saying I love you, he probably didn't really mean I love you I love you, if that makes any sense. Maybe if your broken up you should move on especially since he hasn't written you back. Or try the old fashioned idea of actually calling or seeing him face to face to discuss issues so its not mistaken on text or IM. What a novel idea

I think that he meant what he said and he is too afraid to text back after your response...talk to him about it. Maybe call instead of text because you can't always tell what people mean through a message you read.

ILY seriously? if thats his way of meaningfully saying "i love you" then he is a HORRIBLE bf take it as a joke... it was shortened to three letters and written on text. if he means it then hes not very romantic..

he dont love you if you really like somebody it dont matter what you have to go thru but your willing to do the most and thats always just a stupid *** excuse move on huney he dont love you he has somebody else kay you deserve better and dont act needy because he will prey on that and get what he wants from you
