Has anyone worked as a Calendar Coordinator?

What does the job entail? Is legal experience necessary? I have worked in office settings, but not specifically in the legal field. I did generate legal documents for use in real estate transactions previously at a Title Company. Would this experience be transferable/helpful?

The Calendar Coordinator maintains close daily contact with each judicial department in order to:

    1) Determine departmental schedule/availability for trial and other matters.

    2) Respond immediately to requests for staff and courtroom coverage.

    3) Maintain contact with attorneys/self-represented litigants to help the case assignment manager determine which trials will be sent to departments.

    4) Coordinate with staff in other counties to arrange judge trades for cases which cannot be heard by local judges.

    5) Record daily events scheduled and held to provide a statistical picture of court activities.

Yes, any experience is transferable espiecially that you said you dealt with legal documents and are familiar with it. You do not necessary need experience to be Calendar Coordinator. All it takes is a good resume and a great interview to land a job.

Prepare, maintain, update and distribute various judicial schedules.

    An assistant as a rule assists anyone liable. A coordinator as a rule works on a exact assignment inside a division or precise workforce. "ALL You NEED Is LOVE!" THE B E A T L E S! Vincent Reagan "H A W K E Y E!" :) ;)
