Question about Revelation 19:11-17?

I am having a real hard time understanding this, particularly Revelation 19:16 " On his robe and on his thigh he has this name written: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS." ( Was that a tattoo of some kind? And who exactly is the Rider of the White horse? Is it representing the nations, and all the war?

The King of kings and Lord of lords is Jesus Christ (1 Timothy 6:15; Revelation 17:14). Verse 13 makes this even more clear: His title is also "Word of God"...this is clearly Jesus (John 1:1, 14).

No, it is most certainly not a tattoo. Jesus was born under the Old Covenant and upheld perfectly the law of Moses, which included the commandment forbidding tattoos (Leviticus 19:28). Guess what? There are no "tattoo parlors" in Heaven.

Read the context of chapter 19. Look at verse 7. The "marriage" and the "bride" are not literal. Jesus will not literally marry a literal bride...the bride is a personification of the entirety of the church, His people. Look at verse 12. Do you expect Jesus to literally have eyes that are flames of fire? Verse 15. Do you really think a literal sword proceeds from His mouth? Do you think the "rod of iron" is to be taken literally? Do you think there's a literal "wine press" for God's wrath? These things are figurative, symbolic language my friend. The sword coming out of His mouth symbolizes the word of God, coming forth from His mouth...authoritative commands. The rod of iron symbolizes a firm and established rule lasting forever.

Don't stop there...look at all the rest of the symbolism used throughout the entire book of Revelation. If these things are clearly not to be taken literally, why on earth would it, all of a sudden, inconsistently, become literal in the verse talking about his thigh?

Jesus is not alone in fighting this battle. John tells us: “Also, the armies that were in heaven were following him on white horses, and they were clothed in white, clean, fine linen.” (Revelation 19:14) The fact that the horses are “white” denotes righteous warfare. “Fine linen” is appropriate for the King’s horsemen, and its glistening, clean whiteness indicates a pure, righteous standing before Jehovah. Who, then, make up these “armies”? Doubtless, they include the holy angels. It was early in the Lord’s day that Michael and his angels hurled Satan and his demons out of heaven. (Revelation 12:7-9) Further, “all the angels” will attend upon Jesus as he sits on his glorious throne and proceeds to judge the nations and people of earth. (Matthew 25:31, 32) Surely, in the decisive war, when God’s judgments are executed to a finality, Jesus will again be accompanied by his angels.

11 Others too will be involved. When sending his message to the congregation in Thyatira, Jesus promised: “To him that conquers and observes my deeds down to the end I will give authority over the nations, and he shall shepherd the people with an iron rod so that they will be broken to pieces like clay vessels, the same as I have received from my Father.” (Revelation 2:26, 27) Without a doubt, when the time comes, those of Christ’s brothers already in heaven will have a part in shepherding people and nations with that iron rod.

The Four Horsemen of the Apochalypse are all there for judgment against the world.

Jesus on the white horse of Rev. 19 returns to Earth at His Second Coming. The church comes with Him following Him.

The title, King of Kings and Lord of Lords is on the vestments of His thigh. The white horse is transportation for a Warrior and Reigning King. Jesus is that King, coming to take control over from antichrist.

Find out what the original text says in the original language and get it translated literally, word for word. Look up the words in a dictionary to find out where they come from, and what the word meant originally. Early languages did not use as many words as we do now.

If you are using a Bible that has been translated numerous times from one language to another, it will not make sense in our words, the way it was meant.

Also, the Romans destroyed a lot of the ancient spiritual writings and whole groups of people were actually forbidden to read and write, so these Bible writers wrote in story form, sort of a code for each other and hid the writings in caves, to save them. They used all different kinds of fabrics, leather, weaves, wood, and wrote the same texts a number of times, so if one type of material disintegrated, another might hold up over time. If someone got caught with texts about Jesus or his followers, the person and the writings disappeared. So they had to be careful what they wrote and said. The Romans were a police force and they destroyed quite a lot of written knowledge.

Once the secretive writings were located and put together into the Bible form, many of those original concepts were lost due to translations and alterations. There was actually a group of Priests from very early times who removed whole sections they didn't want anyone reading, having to do with reincarnation.

I am sure that is why so many people disagree what these Bible books mean, because the translations were never understood in the first place.

It is a conceptual thing, you read it all with your heart, in total context, not just one or two sentences or quotes.

Source(s): A pursuit of knowledge in my long lifetime. King James version of the Bible is about as accurate as can be found these days. Find an old one, not one newly translated from an old one.

Jesus Christ IS King of Kings and Lord of Lords. if you know Greek alpha is the beginning and omega-He is the beginning and the end. He was here before we were and will be here after we are gone.He is more powerful than any force on earth and in creation. the inscription on His thigh and robe points this out-He is Son of the Almighty God.the rider on the pale horse is a conquering angel and goes out to do battle with the inhabitants of the earth.

You must remember everything is Revelations was a vision so you cant take many things litterally.

When it says that there was things written on him i probably wasnt a tattoo or anything like that. I could of ment it was part of who he was. As for the Rider of the whire horse. He represented somthing to but i cant remember exctly what. But horses had somthing to do with plaugs.

Try to find a book about Revalations if you want to know more

With The inscription on His Robe, "KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS" it means that on him he wore the God on himself that His name was written in Him and on his clothing. So that everywhere he went people would automatically know that, He is the Lord Jesus Christ. The Rider of the White Horse is Jesus, this is when Jesus is coming forth and revealing His power and spirit. He comes to take back his children and Holy Land (Israel) and he comes to destroy the antichrist's army and governmental stronghold on Nations.

Rev 17:15 And he says to me: “The waters that you saw, where the harlot is sitting, mean peoples and crowds and nations and tongues. 16 And the ten horns that you saw, and the wild beast, these will hate the harlot and will make her devastated and naked, and will eat up her fleshy parts and will completely burn her with fire. 17 For God put [it] into their hearts to carry out his thought, even to carry out [their] one thought by giving their kingdom to the wild beast, until the words of God will have been accomplished. 18 And the woman whom you saw means the great city that has a kingdom over the kings of the earth.”

Do like John and start tripping balls. Then everything will make sense until you sober up.
