Does anyone on here have hypoglycemia? If so do you experience nightmares if your blood sugar has dropped?
I read that somewhere online that if your blood sugar drops you can have nightmares but now I can't find it. I've been having nightmares. I thought it was due to pregnancy but my baby is 5 months old now and I still have the nightmares even though my hormones have returned to normal. Now I wonder if I am hypoglycemic.

Nightmares are the work of the sub concience. You are a biological computer, you can control your input. Leave the TV or radio on while you sleep, loud enough to hear it(and not horror shows). This will occupy your sub concience while you sleep keeping it busy and not letting it dream up some nightmare. Trauma in our lives can cause our sub concience to torture us in our sleep. I hate nightmares with a passion. Good luck.

Controlling hypoglycemia during the day is simple. When you feel symptoms coming on, you eat or drink something to regulate your blood sugar. Most of the time, nothing comes of the disorder, as it is so easily treatable. But at night your body takes longer to react. When asleep you don't know that your blood sugar is getting low. That's why your body does something to wake itself up. If you have hypoglycemia, chances are you've jolted awake from a nightmare, night terror or night sweat at some point in your life. Keep water and hard candies by your bed so that if you do wake up you can get sugar into your system without having to get out of bed and walk to the kitchen And as for the night sweats, make sure that you are sleeping in cool, loose, comfortable bed clothes. Use layers of blankets so that you can add and take away as needed throughout the night. And make sure that your mattress and sheets are made of breathable materials.

I think I may have (not officially diagnosed). I do have them but it could also be because of the depression medication I'm on. Ironic.
I was thinking about taking an iodine supplement. I just feel so out of mind atm.
