Any help on how to handle "difficult" customer?

We got lots references and helps on how to deal with bad products and bad services. Is there any books or groups that help small business to deal with "difficult" customers? I got a small furniture stores, an old lady wasn't happy about the dining set she got, so I had offered extra discounts, and tried to touch up, back and forth for like 5 times already. She is still NOT happy and blame everything on us for not selling quality goods. (Of course there are better products, but she isn't willing to pay for them). Anyway, I finally offer her full refund. But she insisted those are her table and chairs, but she is going to let her lawyer send us a letter, call BBB and get her credit card stop payment on the transcation.
