Lifestyle of an invasive, non interventional Cardiologist?
I'm interested in becoming an invasive, non interventional cardiologist and I need some help on a few questions:
1. How many hours a day does an invasive, non interventional cardiologist work?
2. Does an invasive, non interventional cardiologist work on weekends?
3. Is an invasive, non interventional cardiologist always on call, even in the middle of the night?

An invasive is by definition an interventional cardiologist. The typical physician work week is 60 to 100 hours. The number of hours depends somewhat upon what type of group you are in as few cardiologists are in solo practice. Being in a group implies that you may have a week of 100 hours once a month with the other three weeks being 40 hours. Interventional cardiologists make an embarrassingly large sum of money. If I may be of further assistance please let me know. I wish you the very best of health and in all things may God bless.
