why is apple sauce made without sugar?

and apple butter also?

    Apple contains sugars in enough quantity in itself so its made of without using a sugar

    You can buy apple sauce with added sugar. I think it tastes good with out extra sugar and it's healthier. I don't know about apple butter though.

    They both can be made with sugar, I prefer no sugar though, healthier and not so sweet. =)

    they Do add sugar to applesauce,read the label more carefully, there's tons of it in mine! Red

    because there is enough natural sugar without adding more.
