  • classical music-piano that gives sense of timelessness?

I have three pretty random examples that you may have heard- but they're just short clips- looking for an entire classical song

    1) the beginning of Regina Spektor's Eet

    2) the scene in Touching the Void where Simon is looking at the stars

    3) the Buzz video- Why it's okay to fail- music at the beginning of the video

basically songs with a lot of slow, dramatic piano chords that give sense of timelessness

This is a pretty specific/random question but thanks in advance!

  • Looking for an inexpensive and progressive small city or town in the north?

Do you know of a good city/town with a population of about 10,000 to 100,000, that is inexpensive, low crime rate, moderate to liberal, diverse and not terribly cold (I'm thinking maybe more Northwest and Northeast) Thanks in advance :)

  • Jobs that care for people not in medical field?

I'm interested in a job in which I would care for people and be on my feet for the most part but I'm not interested in jobs in the medical field. I'd like to get things for people who need it. I think one of the jobs I would like is being a chef in a soup kitchen but I'd appreciate more ideas. thanks!

  • For those who live in Pacific Northwest--Favorite things about living there?

Where are the best places to live in Oregon or Washington?--towns/cities that are bigger than 10,000 but smaller than Seattle or Portland? Some of the most important things for me are access to wilderness, little traffic, activities to do in the community, low housing costs

What so you like about living in Washington or Oregon?

  • Has anyone owned/known a Vizsla? Is is hard to find a breeder?

They seem like really high energy dogs which I like and I also like how affectionate they are. It seems hard to find a breeder though. What are your experiences in finding a breeder as well as in owning a vizsla?

  • I think our language favors men. Do you agree-why?

Like how people say "man made" Mr. then Mrs. he or she "Men..." in philosophical quotes and people always say "he" or "that guy" when they don't know the gender of the person (like a person in the car ahead) or if they want to name their pet rock for example they would more likely say Mr. Rocksworth than Mrs. Rocksworth. There are a lot of other examples. I think that we should have gender-neutral pronouns for God and for when the gender is unknown. It could be something like "le." This may seem like a silly argument. That's ok but I think some would agree.

  • Do you think how people perceive themselves is a lot different than how others perceive them?

I know that everyone is going to view a person differently. Do you think the views that other people have about a particular person are more similar to one another than how the person views her or himself?

It may or may have not been a long greek word. There are probably several words out there that mean what I'm asking.

  • Should I conjugate several verbs in a row in Spanish?

I know that at least sometimes you don't conjugate the verbs after the first one conjugated in spanish but I wasn't sure if this was just for verbs like ir and ser.

So for example would I conjugate all of the verbs in this sentence?:

I liked to run, paint, skate and dance.

  • Just learning to knit how to purl?

I think I have done the stockinette stitch (which I think looks just like purl) by alternating purl and knit rows, but when I do what I think is the purl stitch every row, it looks like regular knitting.

I've been to several different websites and watched some you tube videos.

I'm excited to learn all of the different stitches that can be done by knitting and purling together.

  • Are boys the only ones with shared, public showers?

It seems that boys have to shower together in one big stall and girls never do. Why can't they just make separate stalls for boys?

  • Why is it so often that people say "hun" or "sweetie" when being critical of others?

I don't know if people have good or bad intentions when saying "hun" with a negative statement, but it comes off as if they feel superior to the other person.

It's this guy singing about his girl friend and saying how beautiful she is and how she won't believe him if he tells her.

    part of it is like:

    her hair, her hair

    her lips, her lips

sorry I know it's not much information

  • Do I need work history to work at Starbucks (barista)?

I am finished or almost finished with my Starbucks application. I just need to review it. If I get the job, it will be my first.

Also-I'm very shy, but I will try to do my best to say what I need to if I'm hired. On my application I was honest and I think all of my answers on the personality test will show them I'm shy, but also nice and interested in people. It would be great to get answers from anyone who works at Starbucks or has worked there.

    Thanks in advance!

  • How long does it take the average runner to train for a marathon to qualify for the Boston marathon?

So I think I'm an okay runner and hopefully could improve a lot. I haven't run much in the last 6 weeks. Do you think I could qualify for Boston at the Austin marathon February 20th? I have run 2 half marathons in the past, but I didn't train that hard. My time for a half-marathon I did in February was 1:56. I don't know much about marathons and how fast a person can improve. A comfortable pace for me right now for 2 to 6 miles is about 9-9:30 minutes per mile.

I would have to run the Austin marathon in 3:40 (8:23 minutes per mile)

    Thanks in advance!

For those of you who have sold on Etsy what was your experience? Was it hard to make a profit and how long did it take until someone wanted to buy your product? I have signed up and want to try and sell.
