Do I need work history to work at Starbucks (barista)?

I am finished or almost finished with my Starbucks application. I just need to review it. If I get the job, it will be my first.

Also-I'm very shy, but I will try to do my best to say what I need to if I'm hired. On my application I was honest and I think all of my answers on the personality test will show them I'm shy, but also nice and interested in people. It would be great to get answers from anyone who works at Starbucks or has worked there.

Thanks in advance!

The job market is not too great right now; jobs are pretty difficult to get. You don't necessarily need work experience to work at a place like Starbuck's, but it's very beneficial. They will most likely look for experienced employees before non-experienced ones.

Try to branch out and apply for various other places to assure you a job, so that you at least gain experience for better positions in the future.
