Jobs that care for people not in medical field?

I'm interested in a job in which I would care for people and be on my feet for the most part but I'm not interested in jobs in the medical field. I'd like to get things for people who need it. I think one of the jobs I would like is being a chef in a soup kitchen but I'd appreciate more ideas. thanks!
