Stop Mac OS X from logging into only account on startup?

Hello,

Just picked up a MacBook Pro. I set it up and it's running great. I only have one complaint. It logs into the only account upon startup without asking for the password. I have the system preferences set to

1. Display login window as List of Users

2. Show input menu in login window.

What's going on?

Update:

Thanks for the answer, but not exactly what I'm looking for. I want to disable the function that logs me into the account on startup.

Just above Display login window... is a setting for Automatic Login, make sure this is set to off.

you could not view the password everywhere in Mac OS. you could, although, reset it utilising the Mac OS installation disc. Boot from the disc by ability of retaining down the 'c' key on a similar time as that is initiating. go with your language, and as quickly as a results of fact the menu bar seems on the properly suited, bypass Utilities -> Password Reset, then stick to the training. It differs truly from version to version. Snow Leopard and Leopard are a similar, although in Tiger, Reset Password is located interior the Installer menu. wish this facilitates =)

    Hi there, 

Go into System Preferences and open Accounts.

Then...go into Login Items. You can tell it what to open, or NOT open anything.

    Have fun.
