Just picked up a MacBook Pro. I set it up and it's running great. I only have one complaint. It logs into the only account upon startup without asking for the password. I have the system preferences set to

1. Display login window as List of Users

2. Show input menu in login window.

What's going on?

I just jailbroke my 3.1.2 iTouch and installed Rock and Cydia on it. I also downloaded a few apps from both of them. My question is if I uninstall blackra1n, will all my apps go with it?

Hello, i am using gOS, a crappy distro of linux. I would like to know if there is a linux distro that has a somewhat slick GUI and has software such as openoffice, firefox, and gimp already installed on it. I have already looked at fedora, ubuntu, and slackware distros.

NON LINUX!

able to run on a computer with an intel processor (x86 (32bit)), 4gb RAM, 80gb HDD .5gb video.

Needs to have a GUI, and able to use Firefox and OpenOffice.

I have already tryed and ruled out SunOS, SkyOS, Linux, and NimbleX.

Please, NO LINUX!!!

I bought Windows Vista Ultimate for my laptop some time ago. I am in the process of putting Vista on an external Hard Drive. So my question is, can i use that same license number for the external Hard Drive, or am I out of luck?

I am going to buy a 500gb external HDD to squeeze a bit of life out of my computer before i buy a new one. I have pre-ordered Windows 7 Ultimate and was wondering...When i get the HDD and Windows 7 i want to know how to install W7 on the external HDD. I know when you put in the disk it asks what partion or HDD you want it on, but if i have W7 on my external and Windows Vista on my internal, how will the bootup be? Will i be able to choose between the C drive and the D drive when i boot (like a multi-boot)? And in msconfig, the boot timeout is the maount of time untill it chooses the default OS, correct? Thanks in advance and sorry if im a bit confusing!

I am trying to login to an IRC chat in firefox and internet explorer. Neither of them are working. I know the server is up...mIRC, Pidgen, and OLE didnt work either...I used to be able to login with XP but then i upgraded to vista ultimate. I have java on and the chat is allowed to run. It times out the connection though...

Ok. I just pre-ordered Windows 7 Professional and Ultimate. I am currently running XP Pro and find its time for an upgrade. When i upgrade, will it copy all my apps and data or will it format the drive?

If i delete an entry from AVG 8.5 internet security, will it delete the virus/trojan/rootkit/ect. and the files they are in or will they go back into the system?
