Will the Redskins have a successful season this year with McNabb at the helm?

I think McNabb is definitely an upgrade from Jason Campbell, although I think Campbell was given somewhat of a raw deal since the team changed offensive coordinators every one of his seasons there. The Redskins' offensive line is not as good as the Eagles' line, so McNabb will probably have to make more plays with his feet, which he's used to doing. However, his mere presence will take some pressure off the running game, as opposing defenses will be less likely to stack the box and dare McNabb to beat them with his arm.

Credit for any improvement must also go to Shanahan. This team quit on Zorn last year, particularly after he was stripped of his play calling duties. Shanahan is a motivator, and will get this team to buy into his philosophy. I do not think the Redskins will unseat the Cowboys atop the division, but I could see them finishing second or third. Time will tell.

  • I think the Redskins are going to be the only issue for the Cowboys in the NFC East. If we play them like we played them last year (not very well) we will lose. I think the pick up of Mike Shanahan and his son offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan is really going to help the Redskins overall as will Donovan McNabb but I think the Cowboys got them.

McNabb couldn't win a ring with superior weapons in Philly, so why should anyone think he'll succeed with a mediocre Washington club?

Well I think they will at least have a .500 season, which would be a success for them.
