Am I drinking too much water?

My pulse is very high. I mean over 100 at rest. And my blood pressure is low. I heard that I need to be drinking one ounce of water per pound of weight per day in order to get my blood volume up. I weigh 116. I`m 18 years old. I have been drinking all this water, I just started this since last night. This didnt even come to my attention until a couple days ago when I tried to donate blood and they said I couldnt because my pulse was 135 and they took it again and it was 119. I wasnt nervous; I wanted to donate blood.

Do you think this will even help? My pulse does seem to not be quite as high as usual, but still pretty up there. Like 90s and upper 80s. I`m getting worried and thinking about seeing a doctor.

It might be a good idea to see a doctor anyway, but drinking 116 oz of water is not going to harm you...you just may pee a lot...

Drink more water will increase your blood pressure. See how it goes from there.

Also, if you do more cardio, it will build a stronger heart, and your heart rate will also decrease.

There is no point panicking right now. Give it a week or two of exercising, water and a healthier life style and if it is still the same/not much change, then see a doctor.

You are over doing it on water and reducing your potassium level - which affects your heart rate.♥'''''too much water can and will hurt you!

Go now and eat a banana or some grapes or a baked potato.

    ......for your best water requirements.......

Take your weight and divide it in half and that is how many ounces of water you need to drink. You need to drink 58 ounces of water daily - remember to subtract the ounces of decaffeinated liquids you drink from the 58 ounces.

I would get your thyroid checked. Your resting heartrate shouldn't be that high, and when mine was, I had Grave's disease.
